-New Bio-
Against the World was formed in the summer of 2002 in Northeastern Pennsylvania
out of the love for music and pure boredom. At this time the band consisted of:
Dave Sanderson - Drums
Mike D'Angelo - Guitar
Tommy Malkovics - Vocals
Mark Besign - Bass
This line-up was short lived; Tommy was asked to leave the band for various reasons and left Against
the World without a lead singer. Mike who had been signing backup vocals had started to sign lead at this point.
Following Tommy's departure, Mark decided to leave the band. Unable to find replacements Against the World was finished.
The following summer (03) Dave and Mike, both being members of different bands
following the break up of Against The World, missed their old chemistry of making music and decided to form another
together. They wanted to almost make it like Against the World never disbanded so they shorted their name to ATW and
started recruited new members. At a Battle of the Bands in Scranton, Mike and Dave met Adamn Anders, who played bass guitar,
and immediately joined the new Against The World. Another addition to the band was Rebellion's bassist Nick
Kregse, who would play guitar for ATW.
With this current line-up ATW released three albums through Sing Misery
Records.
*1 Hundred 11 Less Than Perfection
*Deathless Ones
*Razorblade Kissez
After playing many shows in 2005 with bands such as AFI, Tiger Army, Horrorpops, Turbonegro, theStart,
TSOL, 30 Foot Fall, Nekromantix to name a few, ATW was signed to Nitro Records in Jan. 2006 where they will record two
albums, one of which will be a double-disc released with 6 months of each other.
But before ATW was signed to Nitro, Adamn had left the band to go to school in another state.
Travis Sherrwood from Shut the Light and Mike and Nick's all acoustic side project: Midnight Glory was
brought in to play guitar for ATW and Nick would go back to playing bass.
In March 2006, along Nitro and Sing Misery Records, ATW started working
on their fourth release expected to be available in June, part one if the double disc set: Disintegrate.
This new album featured a revolution in ATW's music, with Travis on guitar Mike was able to start playing less guitar and
focus on his vocals, which will differ greatly from Razorblade Kissez.
